Common questions
How do I get a refund?
Apple handles all subscription and in-app purchase refunds. Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Weft → Cancel, then request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. If Apple denies it and the reason feels unfair, email [email protected] and we'll back you up.
I lost my notes. Can you recover them?
If iCloud sync was enabled, reinstall Weft on a device signed into the same Apple ID and enable sync in Weft. If sync was off when the app was deleted, the local data is gone. Weft has no notes backend, so we do not have a copy to recover.
How do I restore a purchase after reinstalling?
Inside Weft, open Settings → Subscription → Restore purchase. Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID you used to buy. Premium activates within a few seconds.
How do I cancel my subscription?
Open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Weft → Cancel Subscription. You keep access until the end of the current billing period. Lifetime is a one-time purchase — there's nothing to cancel.
iCloud sync isn't working. What can I check?
Check that every device is signed in to iCloud with the same Apple ID, that Weft Premium is active, and that Settings → iCloud sync is enabled inside Weft. After changing the setting or Premium status, relaunch Weft once.
Does Weft work on Android or the web?
No. Weft is iOS-only and uses native Apple frameworks throughout (SwiftData, CloudKit, WidgetKit). There are no plans for Android or web. With Premium, you can export before switching from Settings → Export PDF or Markdown.
What data does Weft collect?
Weft collects no app usage analytics. Notes live in an on-device database; if private iCloud sync is enabled, synced records use your private CloudKit database and never enter a Weft-operated notes backend. We have no telemetry or third-party SDKs. The full breakdown is in our privacy policy.
How long until I hear back?
Usually within a day or two — sometimes faster. Weft is built by one person in Tokyo; the same person answers email. If you don't hear back within a week, your message was eaten by a spam filter — please resend to [email protected].
